Yes. It was one of those beautiful sunny, cool Spring mornings Sunday when we left for Clover Market. My favorite kind of day. I’ve been going to Clover Market for a few years now, it’s a mixture of vintage finds and arts + crafts. The vendors are vetted, so there are a variety of styles, definitely a little something for everyone.
Some of my past finds include: a painted pallet with a harvest design, a vintage Hit miniature spy camera, quail feathers, vintage holiday post cards, vintage manufacturing labels, and several art prints, which is what I accumulated on this trip.
I keep a list in Evernote of the vintage items I am looking for to decorate or collect. I didn’t find any of those specifically this trip, but with market season in full swing I am hoping I can score some finds in the next few weeks.
This market was held in Chestnut Hill, PA, which is a neighborhood in Northwest Philadelphia. The drive around the city and through the historic area is eye candy for this architecture junky. I love it.
Chatted with the french couple who operate this waffle stand while we waited for our fresh, hot Belgian waffle. It was delicious, crispy on the outside and a little doughy in the middle. There is always a selection of about 5-10 food trucks and options at the market.
My beau mainly comes to the market to pet all the dogs!
After browsing the market twice (!) we stopped in some shops along Germantown Avenue, picking up a couple albums at Hideaway Music, they have a good selection of old and new.
We stopped for lunch at McNally’s Tavern, known for their famous sandwich the Schmitter. It paired excellent with a cold draft after a few hours of walking.
Back into the market for some Weckerly’s ice cream sandwiches.
Purchased some prints from Manayunk Calligraphy, she does custom work too, be sure to check it out.
I always grab business cards to keep these vendors in mind for future gifts:

Tracy Tayan Designs – hand stamped jewelry
Philadelphia Independents – All handmade local goods, stop if you are in center city!
Lackluster Co. – Vintage goods + Industrial decor
Manayunk Calligraphy – art prints + custom calligraphy
