I am looking forward to taking Ali Edward’s class Type starting soon. I don’t take many online classes, and I prefer more technical ones about photography or editing versus “how to scrapbook”. I love typography and am always interested to learn more.
For an industry that sometimes seems to be struggling, there are some neat happenings in the scrapbook world:
Just listened to Elise Blaha Cripe‘s newest podcast on Elise Gets Crafty with Amy Tangerine. Elise has exciting things going on with her planner Get to Work Book. I’m not much of a planner person, but I am watching closely to see if it is something I can use.
And Amy Tangerine‘s story is always inspiring. I pretty much am loving everything she is doing these days from product design, her free workbook and the hilarious Design on Time episodes. I wish I was able to generate her creativity right now!
For the non-crafters out there:
Susannah Conway is someone I always look to for inspiration. She has these awesome photo challenges once in a while and posted prompts for April. It’s a fun way to get inspiration across the globe and keep yourself practicing photography. I took a workshop with her and highly recommend as everything she does is with a lot of heart. Her book This I Know is still a favorite too.
Elizabeth Gilbert has been singing karaoke to raise money for charity. She’s been giving glimpses of her new book Big Magic coming out in September and that one will absolutely be on pre-order for me. (I actually was in her shop one time and saw her, but was too shy to tell her Eat, Pray, Love was a life-changing read for me!)
Brené Brown also has a new book coming out in August called Rising Strong, another inspirational woman who I feel helps me make sense of it all.
It’s rad to have all these positive and influential chics to reference!
I am working on a detailed review of the various photo printers I use, so stay tuned.
