I saw my first live concert when I was 16. A high school boyfriend took me to see Garth Brooks. I wasn’t even much of a country fan at that time, but seeing Garth definitely changed that. If you have ever been to his concert you know he leaves nothing behind and puts every ounce of energy into his shows. I guess that’s where it started.
Since then I’ve seen over 40 or 50 concerts, seeing a few artists more than once. Kenny Chesney is by far one of the best entertainers. My Mom and I started going to his concerts in 2005 (I think?) and have gone to every single one when he’s in town since. This July I will see him for the 10th time! What’s great about his shows is he always brings some other headliner on the stadium tours, so it’s almost like 2 or even 3 concerts in one. My favorite show of his was a few years ago when Zac Brown Band was with him, as well as some great opening acts and featured one of my favorite singers, Grace Potter. I also saw him at his free beach concert in Wildwood in 2012 with my beau. Besides my Mom, he has been my concert date for many shows.
We both love music and especially live music.
I created this layout as inspired by a prompt in Ali Edward’s Type class. I had the idea in my head for a while, and was challenged to use some sort of other way than actual letters to spell out a title. I used small silver brads to make the san-serif, narrow title LIVE. I printed the list of artists I’ve seen live in concert onto vellum and attached with a glue strip, covering it with washi tape. The stripe pattern paper is from Amy Tangerine, Plus One, and the stars is a Pink Paislee Color Wash paper. I wanted a bit more color and used a Hero Arts neon yellow dauber to add some messy dots. The triangles used as arrows are puffy stickers from Shop Evalicious.
