I’ve been making little bits of progress on my WITL spreads here and there. I was inspired by Annette Haring to #finishStrong!
Just editing photos and adding text takes time, but it’s an easy task to do while watching tv or other mundane tasks. I have been primarily doing all of this on my iPhone 6, with almost no use of my pc/Photoshop Elements.
I’ve been editing photos in PicTapGo, then added text using the LetterGlow app, A Beautiful Mess app, and Rhonna Farrer app. I’ve been printing the photos directly from the Canon Easy-PhotoPrint app. Because of this, I’ve had to live with borders on my photos and decided that’s ok for being able to get this project finished!
I was excited when I figured out how I could print some journaling directly onto a cardstock journaling card. I opened a blank file (using the Rhonna Farrer app), under Backgrounds, there is a plain, white background, as pictured near the center bottom. The app then allows you to adjust the aspect ratio. I could not get the text in this app to work as I wanted, so I saved the background, then opened it in LetterGlow to add the text. I’ve been using the font Amatic, to keep it somewhat uniform throughout the WITL spreads.
So far I have the layout for Monday in my album, along with the separate 12×12 layout for Saturday, shown here.
Being able to print the journaling onto this Project Life journal card completed Tuesday’s layout. In an effort to complete the project I’ve simply been adding text to photos or writing directly on them. I’ve added very few embellishments, some washi tape and/or small puffy stickers.
I was able to add this Teresa Collins camera journal card with Tim Holtz ideology word strips. For the corner, I captured part of Ali Edward’s blog post to include.
Thursdays layout was time consuming because I added a lot of journaling to the photos, which took some playing around with to get it right. For Thursday I used the some days/most days prompt that I wrote up in the post for that day. Some of the font is a bit tiny, but I can read it, so that’s good as far as I’m concerned! I have part of the back finished.
